Media's Intrusion in Private Life of Citizens |

According to RTI Research Centre survey, majority of the Pakistani public is of the view that it is unethical for media to intrude in the personal lives of people to highlight social evils. |

The survey has been conducted with a national representative sample of 89 adult participants. They were asked whether media is justified to interfere in private lives of people to highlight a social evil or not.
The research data has shown that 77% of the public says that it is entirely unethical to intrude and interfere into private lives of people, even the intention is to highlight or eliminate a social evil.
18% are of the view that there is nothing wrong in interfering in private lives if the intention is to highlight a social evil.
5% could not decide from either of the options. |
